He was raised by his maternal grandparents, Marvin Huff Sr. 21, 1956, to Lorene Huff and the late Willie James Oliphant. Interment was in Sugar Hill Cemetery, Wrens. at Stone Springfield AME Church, Stapleton, with Rev. She was married to the late William “Bill” Eljoy Hicks. She was born to the late Joseph Wheatt and Lula Grister Wheatt in Tuskegee, Ala.
